For this project with Salesforce, we crafted a seamless blend of traditional 2D frame-by-frame animation and 3D elements, combining hand-drawn character work by skilled artists with 3D models, all unified under Salesforce’s brand aesthetic, including grainy textures and a cohesive visual style.
A Flight Through the Process
This behind-the-scenes video showcases the intricate blend of traditional 2D and 3D animation techniques used in the Trailhead project. The clip alternates between raw production footage illustrating frame-by-frame hand-drawn animation, CG model setups, and the final polished renders. By combining expressive 2D character animation with fully-rendered 3D environments, we created a visually cohesive style that stays true to Salesforce’s brand identity, enhanced with textured surfaces and stylized grain. This seamless integration highlights the craftsmanship behind each frame and the harmony between craftsmanship and technology.
