What We Do
Our Story
Fudge was founded in 2014 by Dan Weaver. A born storyteller, Dan achieved a honours degree in Film Direction at one of Europe’s top film schools before starting his career at Television Center in White City where he was part of the original team that launched the first CBeebies channel and website in 2002.
In his role at the BBC, Dan produced animated video content for some of the channel's flagship children’s television programmes including Bob the Builder, Postman Pat, The Teletubbies and Tweenies.
For over a decade, Fudge has created captivating and imaginative children's television programming through exceptional character design and development, unique storytelling, and a deep understanding of kids' insights.
With a mission to create meticulously crafted animated film that moves people, our vision for Fudge is to be recognised as one of the most imaginative and trusted animation studios in the UK.
Dan Weaver
Executive Creative Director
Dan began his career at the BBC as an animation producer on some of CBeebies flagship programmes including shows like Bob The Builder, Postman Pat, Teletubbies and Tweenies. Dan is responsible for creative direction of Fudge's broadcast development and production projects.
Charlotte Bartholomew
Production Manager
As well as Senior Producer on Fudge's three broadcast commissions (currently in production), Charlotte is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the production of all projects, ensuring all projects are completed efficiently, on time, and within budget.
James Hill
Head of Creative Services
James is responsible for the commercial exploitation of Fudge's IP through business development, sales & distribution, and license & merchandising with a demonstrable track record of growing revenues through the identification of new market opportunities.
Emanuel Bonnici
Creative Director
With a Masters in 3D Animation from Bournemouth’s world-renowned National Centre for Computer Animation & a Masters degree in Fine Art from the University for the Creative Arts, Emanuel has a deep understanding of both the artistic and technical expression of animated film.
Mark Donnan
Sales & Marketing Director
With over 35 years of experience, Mark leads the studio's Sales & Marketing teams, implementing strategies to promote the studios IP offerings. Mark is also responsible for developing relationships with key partners to secure commission, acquisition and distribution deals.
Tim Patterson
Executive Director
Tim has held numerous senior positions at Viacom, BBC, UKTV, ITV and Disney. As former VP, Director of Programming at Nickelodeon, Tim was responsible for programme commissioning, acquisition and development, content strategy, planning and scheduling, and media planning.
