Location: Sandhurst, Berkshire
Salary Range: £30,000 to £40,000 per annum + commission
Basis: Full Time – Permanent
Work Hours: 9am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday *

* The role usually takes place in standard work hours, but some late and early working may be required at times of high volume

Fudge is an award-winning independent animation studio and we are seeking to employ a full time Business Development Manager for our growing team based in Sandhurst, Berkshire. You will be responsible for developing existing client relationships and winning new business within healthcare and pharmaceutical organisations.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Researching potential client accounts, identifying key marketing, communications and training contacts
  • Maintaining and expanding our database of prospects
  • Sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
  • Arranging appointments with marketing and communications managers to present Fudge’s animation services
  • Developing strategies for increasing opportunities to meet and talk to prospects in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sector
  • Establishing and develop relationships with partners to build pipeline and close deals
  • Organising and attending healthcare conferences to introduce prospective clients to Fudge’s animation services
  • Closing sales, meeting and exceeding set targets
  • Producing detailed plans to ensure that the client and creative team understand the goals and deadlines associated with each animation project
  • Supporting animation producer(s) by liaising with the client to ensure that their progress with tasks is on schedule and on budget
  • Staying informed about new developments within the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors, anticipating potential negative and positive impacts on the business and adapting strategy accordingly
  • Monitoring competitor activity, products, services and pricing
  • Planning work schedules and weekly and monthly timetables
  • Keeping detailed records of all prospects, contacts, leads and sales
  • Regularly attending company meetings, presentations and briefings

Experience & Qualities

  • Have a passion for film and animation
  • Have proven experience and demonstrable success working within a sales (preferably healthcare sales) environment
  • Have excellent negotiation skills
  • Have exceptional verbal, communication and client management skills
  • Have excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Have experience using customer relationship management (CRM) and pipeline management software
  • Have an outgoing and confident approach
  • Be organised and methodical in their approach to their work and will be clear in their planning when working with producer(s) and managing clients
  • Be self-motivated, driven and ambitious
  • Be calm, personable and approachable under pressure and when working to tight deadlines
  • Be a motivating team player and work towards the team’s best interests
